Ephemeral Arteries

For this project, I was asked to go out in the world and take pictures of the Ephemeral. Things that don't last. Things that are temporary. Things that are not forever. Here are my Ephemeral Arteries.

  1. Lucas- I enjoy how many risks you take with the camera. You set up your shots and experiment with exposure-- bravo! And all your experimenting has payed off. Some of your shots a very beautiful. I like simplicity of the green candles and the poetry of the paper cranes and spilled liquid (the second shot). There is something both moving and ambitious about the symbolism here. Remember that as you set up your shots, every details counts. For instance, I wonder how the crane shot would look behind a different colored background. The wood of the table competes with the colors in the foreground. I also like the shot of your shadow in the puddle. Keep experimenting with dominant forms and fragile forms and consider negative space. There is so much tonlook at and enjoy about these pictures, now you just have to push your vision and control to another letter-- well done! Excellent!
